Personal Background – Family and origins
Hello, my name is Maneesh, and I’m here with my wife, Anjali. We’re both from Kerala, a region in southern India. We have two children: Manvi, who’s 8 and attends school, and Aadiv, who’s 4 and began kindergarten last year. We were raised and educated in Kerala before moving to New Zealand in 2012. After so many years, New Zealand definitely feels like our home

Connection to my area (Franchise territory)
Timaru has been our home for more than six years, and it’s a wonderful community. Working at McDonald’s has allowed me to connect with many of the people here, and I’ve become very familiar with every street in town. Timaru is truly a great place to live

Work background
My 13 years of customer service, primarily at McDonald’s, have provided me with extensive daily interaction with the public. I thrive in the fast-paced environment, handling various challenges and serving a diverse clientele, including many new faces and elderly customers.

Travelling
We, like most families, cherish travel time with our kids. Weekends often involve short trips to the surrounding suburbs or relaxing visits to local coffee shops. Our major travels take us back to India every two or three years. With India’s incredible diversity, we dream of experiencing every state at some point in our lives.

Sports
Timaru’s strong sports culture is a major draw for me. The community is deeply involved in a wide range of activities, from cricket and beach volleyball to soccer and indoor games. I love that I can easily find opportunities to play sports throughout the week

Involvement in social and community groups
As a member of the executive committee for our 100+ family organization, I played a key role in organizing nearly 20 successful events during our 2024-2025 term, which ended in February 2025. This leadership experience facilitated meaningful interactions with all community members, and I believe Freedom franchise will expand my reach to a wider audience

My experience running a successful cleaning business has instilled in me the confidence to explore new ventures. Freedom has been a godsend to me. Trapped without transport and a work site not covered by public transport, I was in a quandary about how to get to work. Then I saw an ad for Freedom. Problem solved. My driver picks me up at Silverdale and takes me to work then returns me home. He is always punctual and the vehicle is always immaculately clean. Awesome! Thank you Freedom!
