Hi, my name is Alice Aplin and I am the proud new owner of Freedom drivers Kapiti, having recently purchased the business from the previous owner Lindsey.
I am married with 3 young children, I am originally from the Wairarapa but moved to the Wellington area in early 2000.
I have a family and many friends in the Kapiti area and enjoy spending time with them, I love this part of New Zealand especially the many beautiful beaches.
In my free time I like going to the gym, watching sports, spending time with my family, I consider myself to be a good cook, so I spend a lot of time trying new recipes.
I originally worked in administration, before taking time off to raise my children, I then re-entered the workforce working in a café for many years, I have always wanted to have my own business, and Freedom seems like the perfect opportunity to fulfil that goal.
In previous employment at a café, a large part of the clientele was older/retired regular customers. I enjoyed my daily interactions with them and see Freedom as similar opportunity to engage with our older generations and provide a service that helps them get out-and-about in their everyday lives and participate in their community.
As your new Freedom franchisee, I look forward to meeting all existing and new clients, you will find that I have a friendly face, and a warm welcoming personality, with a can-do attitude and a strong work ethic.

I have already met many of Lindsey’s clients, I look forward to continuing to serve you, and also meeting new clients and at the same time making new friends.
Freedom has been a godsend to me. Trapped without transport and a work site not covered by public transport, I was in a quandary about how to get to work. Then I saw an ad for Freedom. Problem solved. My driver picks me up at Silverdale and takes me to work then returns me home. He is always punctual and the vehicle is always immaculately clean. Awesome! Thank you Freedom!

My elderly mum is now quite vulnerable, and certainly not able to drive and so Gavin has been a godsend, not only taking mum to and from appointments but also staying with her to make sure information is passed on to me when I can’t be there. Freedom Drivers Hibiscus Coast came to my rescue 18 months ago when I commenced my monthly trips to Waitakere Hospital Day Stay. To be able to arrive relaxed and on time no matter what the traffic has been like with Freedom’s professional, caring and amicable Drivers is a big plus for me. Sometimes this has also been with Driver support from the North Eastern Bays team. I am always taken care of in a safe, pleasant manner and look forward to the companionship during our journeys which can be up to an hour each way.
