My name is Robyn Bryant and I’m the proud owner of the Freedom Companion Driving Franchise for Cambridge and surrounding Waipa district including Cambridge, Te Awamutu, Kihikihi, Ohaupo, Pirongia, Tamahere, and Hamilton Airport
I have lived in the area most of my life and currently live in the Te Awamutu township with my two daughters.
My work experience includes laboratory and supply chain roles with Fonterra and as a Newborn Hearing Screener for the Waikato DHB. More recently I’ve been the caterer for Te Awamutu Golf Club and “dinner lady” at St Peters school in Cambridge.
I love music and play the piano and was accompanist for the local Rosetown Choristers for five years. Other interests include walking, reading, cooking and a bit of gardening and easy do it yourself tasks.
I was initially drawn to the franchise when my mother needed assistance with getting to appointments and the hospital for eye surgery. At the time I was working full time and unable to assist. It was a real struggle to find a reliable driving service that I was happy with. This really brought home to me the need for this type of service in our community, especially as our elderly population continues to increase.
I’m a friendly, honest and caring person who genuinely likes meeting and getting to know people and I am really looking forward to meeting and getting to know lots of new people in my hometown.
I believe that Customer service is about listening first and understanding a customers’ requirements and then working with them to ensure all their needs are met. Service with a smile.
I believe in being punctual, having a clean, tidy and safe vehicle, being prepared to go the extra mile to assist customers, that could be helping them in and out of the car, waiting for them at appointments, promptly attending to any request always with a smile.

Freedom has been a godsend to me. Trapped without transport and a work site not covered by public transport, I was in a quandary about how to get to work. Then I saw an ad for Freedom. Problem solved. My driver picks me up at Silverdale and takes me to work then returns me home. He is always punctual and the vehicle is always immaculately clean. Awesome! Thank you Freedom!

My elderly mum is now quite vulnerable, and certainly not able to drive and so Gavin has been a godsend, not only taking mum to and from appointments but also staying with her to make sure information is passed on to me when I can’t be there.
