Every minute counts.💙
This Thursday, 29 October, is World Stroke Day – a timely reminder for all of us to know the signs of a stroke and think F.A.S.T.
F – Face: Is one side drooping?
A – Arm: Is there weakness in one arm?
S – Speech: Is speech slurred or difficult?
T – Take action: Call 111 immediately.
If you notice any of these signs, don’t arrange ordinary transport – call 111.
For people recovering from a stroke, however, simply getting where you need to go can become a challenge. That might be rehabilitation, physio or medical appointments, shopping, visiting friends and family, or simply getting out of the house.
That’s where Freedom can help – with a trained local driver who provides more than a ride.
Please share the F.A.S.T. message with your friends and whānau. One day, knowing it could make all the difference.
