Hello and welcome to our profile page. Our names are Ravinder Singh and Gurpal Singh (friends) and we are the proud new owners of Freedom Companion Drivers Palmerston North.
We came to New Zealand 14 years ago from India. We both have families here and have children born in New Zealand.
It has been a long journey for us, but we are now settled and happy in our adopted country. Coming from such a diverse culture helps us to understand and respect each individual and their whanau.
Palmerston North is lovely place to live and raise family. We are originally from New Plymouth (Taranaki) but moved to Palmerston North to start our Freedom companion driving service, we feel connected here and are excited to explore the area. As our business grows, we look forward to meeting and helping many new customers.
Prior to coming to New Zealand from India, we had varied customer-oriented experience. I used to work in a large call centre, and Gurpal worked in a bank. We have been working in retail and transport industry since arriving in New Zealand. We both enjoy working with clients, we are very customer focused and will always go the extra mile for you.
We both enjoy travelling, meeting new people, making friends and exploring new places. We enjoy spending time with family and friends. We love cooking, so always try something new every time we catch up.
As India is culturally rich and divers in religion. We come from the “SIKH” religion and the place where we worship is called “Gurudwara”. We meet and greet, share Guru (God) thoughts, and take blessings. Anyone and everyone is always welcome regardless of your faith.
We decided to join Freedom as we have been in uber/taxi for a while. We looked for a new opportunity. We wanted to take it to the next level, where we have our regular customers and can cater them. Freedom Companion Driving is the best outcome with our goal to offer a people oriented and caring companion driving service.
We believe that our customer service experience will help us to understand the business and customers. We want our customers and their whanau to rely on us for there all travelling needs. Customers are PRIORITY to us and we will VALUE them the most offering a excellent service. Nothing will be a problem just let us know your requirements.
We will listen to each & every customer and try to meet their requirements. Communication is another way to reach most of our solutions. Keeping in mind everyone’s need. Being calm and patient is the key to success.

Freedom has been a godsend to me. Trapped without transport and a work site not covered by public transport, I was in a quandary about how to get to work. Then I saw an ad for Freedom. Problem solved. My driver picks me up at Silverdale and takes me to work then returns me home. He is always punctual and the vehicle is always immaculately clean. Awesome! Thank you Freedom!

What a wonderful service Gavin provides. My elderly mum is now quite vulnerable, and certainly not able to drive and so Gavin has been a godsend, not only taking mum to and from appointments but also staying with her to make sure information is passed on to me when I can’t be there. Freedom Drivers Hibiscus Coast came to my rescue 18 months ago when I commenced my monthly trips to Waitakere Hospital Day Stay. To be able to arrive relaxed and on time no matter what the traffic has been like with Freedom’s professional, caring and amicable Drivers is a big plus for me. Sometimes this has also been with Driver support from the North Eastern Bays team. I am always taken care of in a safe, pleasant manner and look forward to the companionship during our journeys which can be up to an hour each way.
